- Published on Sunday, 26 October 2014 20:51
The Team received 2 call outs with 30 minutes of each other on Saturday October 25th. The first came from Clifden Gardai in relation to a missing male in the Connemara National Park. The first response party arrived a swept the lower park before reports of a sighting of the missing person closer to Letterfrack allowed the Team to divert resources to an emerging incident in the Maumturks where locals had seen lights in the mountains above Glenlosh. The co-ordinates of the location established the Team began researching the possibilities and after an initial investigation determined the likelihood that a night navigation that had descended safely was the source of the illumination. The route to Loch Mham Oichoige was searched and cleared with the Team stood down afterwards. The Team would like to thank Clifden Gardai, Costelloe Bay Coast Guard Unit and Malin Head Coast Guard.
